Eric’s practice areas include trucking, transportation, and automobile litigation, cargo and freight disputes, admiralty and maritime litigation, casualty and insurance defense, and insurance coverage litigation in the state and federal courts of Louisiana and Mississippi. He has also handled domestic and international transactions and immigration matters for local film talent and production companies. Eric is regularly recognized in peer-reviewed publications, including Super Lawyers (Rising Stars 2019-2020, Super Lawyer 2021), New Orleans Magazine (Top Lawyer 2016-2020), New Orleans City Business (Ones to Watch 2016), and Best Lawyers (Ones to Watch 2021). He is also a regular speaker and moderator at continuing legal education (CLE) seminars and serves in a number of local bar associations.
Eric began his legal career at a prominent downtown New Orleans defense firm specializing in transportation defense. He then joined his supervising attorneys at another full-service defense firm, also in downtown New Orleans, to open a new transportation practice group there. He earned a partnership with that firm, where he also managed the firm’s publications covering Transportation, Admiralty and Maritime, and LHWCA/DBA/WHCA claims. He joined Plauche Maselli Parkerson, LLP, as Senior Counsel in 2020. Eric is a native of Shreveport, in north Louisiana, and attended Tulane University on Founder’s and Legislative Scholarships and Tulane University Law School on the Frank Voelker, Jr. Scholarship.
