Lyla is an attorney in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. Lyla’s practice focuses on trucking, automobile, premises liability, and insurance coverage defense. Prior to joining the firm, Lyla was an attorney with the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal for over ten years. During her tenure at the First Circuit, Lyla was a central staff attorney, research attorney for Chief Judge Vanessa Guidry-Whipple, and the Chief Deputy Clerk of Court. Lyla assisted in the drafting of numerous appellate court opinions on a variety of complex legal issues and advised attorneys and litigants on a daily basis regarding appellate court practice and procedure. Prior to her tenure at the First Circuit, Lyla worked at well-respected litigation firms in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Jacksonville, Florida. Given her prior experiences, Lyla is an advanced legal writer and an effective communicator, with a professional demeanor, who can articulate legal issues in writing and in the courtroom.
