Our Employment Law Experience
We litigate employment-related commercial disputes concerning enforcement of non-solicitation, non-compete and confidentiality clauses. We have defended state and federal discrimination and retaliation claims, frequently preparing successful position papers to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Representative Cases
- Obtained finding of no discrimination in pre-suit EEOC investigation on behalf of small business in response to alleged violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
- Obtained finding of no discrimination in pre-suit EEOC investigation on behalf of non-profit agency in response to alleged violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, claims of retaliation, and other related state law claims.
- Prepared and/or revised employment handbooks of small businesses to conform to Louisiana employment laws.
- Pre-suit management and investigation of workers’ compensation claims arising from a deadly accident.
- Federal employment discrimination case involving multiple claims alleged pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, and obtained favorable resolution in federal employment.
- Defended manufacturing facility owner in claims alleging intentional act exception to Louisiana workers compensation law, obtaining favorable settlement.
